As of the end of 2008 came I have had both knees replaced. It was due to a car accident in the 1980's. And it is getting so that I can now get down to the river on my own steam! I am still living and working out of my studio and home. I am weaving tapestry with my hand dyed yarns, knitting a lot for various charities, paint and draw sometimes when the sprit moves me. Living along the might Mississippi river is still a whole lot of fun, as there is a large arts community here that is very active. (Go figure who would of thought I would be involved in the arts?)
My husband (a native of Kansas)and I have 6 children between us, 17 grandchildren, and 2 cats. Though he retired in 2002, he decieded to go to work as he was "bored" at home, so he is working at Walmart. (He did not tell any of the children for almost a year as they use to joke about when he got bored he could always go work at Walmart as a greeter. He isn't a greeter, but workes in the frozen food section here in Hannibal.And he has been there now 7 years)
We have a grandson in Japan in the Marines (he is the oldest grand child), have 2 grandchildren that graduate fropm high school this year, and the youngest grandchild is 15 months old. Our children are scattered from the east coast to Kansas. The majority of our children live in and around Kansas in small towns. None of them are in the Kansas City area though.

| A: reading, weaving, knitting, quilting |
