After graduation I received an all expense paid vacation to the tropics. I received a 5 month early release from the Army to become a Kansas City, Missouri Police Officer. During that employment I attended CMSU. After receiving my BSBA I worked as a Special Agent for the U.S. Treasury Department in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Internal Revenue Service. As time went by I returned to school attending the University of Missouri-Kansas City where I earned a Ph.D. in Sociology. I then secured employment as an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee where I taught criminology courses until it became necessary for me to return to the Kansas City area to care for elderly family members. I recently retired from Northwest Missouri State University.
I am married to my wife Sharon who also has a Ph.D. is retired from the Blue River campus of the Metropolitan Community Colleges. My daughter has her Ph.D. She currently teaches at Johnson County Community College. My son also has a Ph.D. and is a Political Science professor in Houston, Texas.
